Workshop on Algebraic Surfaces

( March 27 - 30, 2012  /  KIAS )

The theory of algebraic surfaces is regarded as one of the most beautiful theories in algebraic geometry. Its foundation was laid down more than 100 years ago. It is still an active, rapidly developing area, and lies in the junction of 4-dimensional topology, number theory, and symplectic geometry. The workshop will host 18 invited speakers, who are experts in this area.
