KIAS

East Asia Symplectic Conference 2011

June 21~25, 2011

This is the second East Asia Symplectic Conference, following the first one held in Taipei two years ago.
The aim of this biannual conference is to promote scientific exchange in the growing symplectic community in East Asia.
Symplectic geometry is an active, rapidly developing area of mathematics. It lies in the junction of differential geometry, topology, and algebraic geometry, having deep roots in Hamiltonian dynamics and classical mechanics. Symplectic techniques have had a great impact on many areas including complex geometry as well as theoretical physics.
This second East Asia Symplectic Conference in Seoul will host 16 invited speakers. The conference schedule will allow ample time for informal discussions.
