There are several ways to get to KIAS from Incheon International Airport. You may purchase Limousine or Premium Bus tickets or obtain information at the Transportation Information Counter located near the exits 2, 4, 9 and 13 on the passenger terminal arrival floor.

Limousine Bus

The convenient bus to KIAS is one bound for Cheongnyangni of which number is "6002" and the bus stop at the airport is No."5B" and "12A". The fare is 10,000 Korean Won and the bus departs every 15~20 minutes. The first bus at the airport departs at 05:30 and the last bus departs at 23:30. You can get off at 'Cheongnyangni Station' bus stop, which will take about one and a half hours.

Take a Limousine Bus No.6101 'Dobong(Seongdong)' route at the bus stop 3B, 10A (Bus fare is 14,000 won). Get off at 'Korea Univ. Station' bus stop and then take a taxi. To KIAS, it will cost less than 3,000 Korean Won.

Then, take a taxi to KIAS. To KIAS. Either from Cheongnyangni or Korea Univ. Station, it will cost you less than 3,000 Korean Won. Please show 'Direction for Taxi Driver'  to a taxi driver so that he/she can understand where you are headed. For more information, please visit Incheon International Airport website.

Airport Train

Whether from Inchon (ICN) or Gimpo (GMP) airports, you can use Airport Railroad up to Seoul station. It takes about 53 minutes from ICN to Seoul station (3,800won),
about 20 minutes from GMP to Seoul station (1,300won). It is possible to get to Seoul statrion from ICN by using the Express train, but it still needs 43 minutes while you should pay 13,300won.

If you purchase tickets each time, 500won deposit is added extra for each ticket. After you arrive at the destination, you return the used ticket to the used-ticket-eating machine, and the 500won will be refunded to you.

You can use a card called T-Money, which can be purchased at small shops inside railroad/metro stations. You can purchase it at 1000won or so, and deposit say, 10,000won into it. And then all you do is to touch the card at the time of entrance and exit from the station, and the charge will be deducted from it. It is very convenient if you
plan to walk around the city of Seoul. If you have a big luggage, please find a wide gate either at the right or left or both edges of the entrance/exit.

All the stations are numbered in Seoul. For instance, along the Airport Railroad,

A10 = ICN (Inchon airport, terminal)
A05 = GMP (Gimpo airport)
A01 = Seoul (terminal)

It is convenient since we can count the number of stops.

At the Seoul station, please just look for Metro No.1.
You can go up and up and up to the ground floor by escalaters, and then walk several minutes on the ground floor. At the Metro 1 station, you can take a train toward Soyosan.
The station names along Metro 1 are as follows:

133 = Seoul station
124 = Cheongnyangni (10 min taxi to KIAS or 30 min walk)
123 = Hoegi station (10 min walk to KIAS)
100 = Soyosan (terminal)

If you have a huge luggage, you may take a taxi from Chengnyangni station. You get out from the exit 2, which is across from the big road in front of the station toward the north direction. Along the road is a bus stop. I'm not sure if we can stop a taxi at the bus stop. I walk a bit along the road toward north (station in my back) and stop a taxi. Taxi's with lighted top is free of passenger and will stop. It should be about 3,000won to KIAS.

Taxi

If you have heavy luggage, we suggest that you take a taxi. There are two different types of taxis. One is regular taxi and the other is deluxe taxi (black-colored). In case of the former, it will cost about 75,000 Korean Won from the Incheon International Airport to KIAS including a toll (7,500 Korean Won). In case of deluxe taxi, it will cost 95,000 Korean Won including toll (7,500 Korean Won). However, please keep in mind that it may cost more depending on traffic condition. Please show 'Direction for Taxi Driver'  to a taxi driver so that he/she can understand where you are headed. Please visit at Incheon International Airport website.
