1. Higgs-like Particle Discovery in LHC : Is it really Higgs ? - Prof. DongHee Kim, Kyungpook National University

It is quite rigid for us to say that a new particle has been discovered at the LHC experiment. Both CMS and ATLAS claim they end up with finding a new particle with bosonic characteristics. Tevatron results may also support this. On the other hand, there have been a number of questionings whether this particle is indeed Higgs particle or not.  We show the discovery results in LHC based on July announcement. Discussions about new particle will be followed under open questions.

2. Higgs Odyssey : History and Theory - Prof. S.Y. Choi, Chonbuk National University

If the particle, recently discovered at the LHC, is indeed the Higgs particle under a half-century search, the discovery is a watershed breakthrough completing the last part of the Standard Model. If not, we are now facing a revolutionary moment.

In my lecture I touch on twists towards the conception of the Higgs mechanism and its messenger Higgs particle and then elaborate on theoretical implications for probing into a much smaller world.
